Mission Statement
Logos Institute of Theology, College & Seminary is a Christian, faith-based initiative missioned to educate and empower a cohort of emergent community leaders. Licensing and ordaining those called to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ; meanwhile, fostering a network of ministers committed to consistent service and soul winning for our community's well-being.
Vision Statement
Logos Institute of Theology envisions assisting servant leaders while forming a supportive community of ministerial cohorts who discover the Biblical world through reading, understanding, and practical application of the Word of God. Logos commits to providing theological education that is both relevant to the needs of practical ministry and accessible to women and men called by God.
LIT Core Values
• Biblically Centered
Knowing the Bible to be the Holy and Inspired Word of God, LIT strives to teach never to correct the Bible as it stands in the King James Version. LIT believes in, teaches, and promotes sound biblical exposition and study of God’s Word. Our full doctrinal position is listed under the Doctrinal Statement in this catalog.
• Great Commission Focused
LIT strives constantly to remind its student body that Biblical Education is not for gaining knowledge for the sake of knowledge, but for building up the Body of Christ so that she feels compelled to reach out to the lost world around her with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
• Kingdom Ready
LIT believes in and teaches the eternal security of the Christian, who is indwelt by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. But Christians will be strictly judged (1Cor 3.11-15) at the Judgment Seat of Christ to see whether they have earned any rewards as they prepare to enter the Kingdom of Christ LIT seeks to instill a deep desire for preparing for this judgment and for earning the rewards of the Kingdom.
